This signature Chopra Center mind-body workshop is based on the 5,000 year-old practice of ayurveda, the complementary system of healing which originated in ancient India. Along with special guest healthcare practitioners, the co-founders of the Chopra Center, Deepak Chopra, M.D. and David Simon, M.D., journey through a mind-body natural healing process that explores how to integrate ancient teachings and modern scientific research into a total program for wellness. Founded on the principle that "health is more than the absence of disease, it is physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing," Journey into Healing explores and explains how to bring these timeless healing practices into your daily life.
This powerful four-day workshop includes instruction in accessing your inner pharmacy through the five senses, detailed explanation of your mind-body personality (dosha),

What happens at Journey into Healing?
This four-day workshop begins each morning with yoga instruction and meditation. Then, the co-founders of the Chopra Center ― Deepak and David ― guide you through natural healing, from nutrition to emotions, with the goal of finding daily balance. Dine on optional vegetarian ayurvedic lunches designed from the Chopra Center cookbook. Deepak and David lead afternoon sessions that include immersion into the ancient healing system known as ayurveda, intimate interactive exchanges, meditation, and a more complete understanding of a healthful and balanced mind and body. Your day concludes with healing yoga classes (all levels); every evening is filled with an opportunity to share experiences with others in your group or join in the evening's activity.

Healthcare providers experience ayurvedic Knowledge Workshop/Case Study Development and learn practical and clinical applications of ayurveda and discover mind-body medicine in a comprehensive workshop environment. Working directly with Dr. David Simon, individual study groups will review a variety of medical case studies including: fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, irritable bowel syndrome, chronic pain syndromes, diabetes mellitus, and cancer. This format facilitates a deeper, more experiential application of the Journey Into Healing material and will help you draw vital connections between current medicine, the principles of ayurveda, and your own life.
We are also pleased to offer our signature ayurvedic healing massage treatments in our Spa. This addition to your program further helps you cleanse, relax, and revitalize.

How many CEU/CME credits can I earn for attending?
The University of California, San Diego School of Medicine designates this educational activity for a maximum of 22.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
All professionals may request a non-CME certificate from UCSD for a maximum of 22.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Out-of-state participants should check with their licensing boards to determine whether the board will accept these credits. 22.25 total credits. The cost is $35 per certificate.
