Who can benefit from the Healing the Heart workshop?
The emotional healing process has helped many people coping with a wide range of difficulties, including:
- Divorce and relationship stress
- Painful memories and regrets
- Death of a loved one
- Job loss or burnout
- Feeling stuck in old patterns
- Loss of passion or trust
Important Note: Healing the Heart is not an alternative to counseling and/or the therapist that you may already be working with. This is a group healing experience that will involve sharing with other participants. Please be aware that if you have active suicidal intent, homicidal intent or a diagnosis of unstable mental health, this course is not for you.
Who can benefit from the 9-day Healing the Heart, Balancing the Body program?
Healing the Heart, Balancing the Body offers profound healing benefits for anyone coping with a physical illness, or emotional pain, including:
- Depression and anxiety
- Chronic pain or fatigue
- Post-chemotherapy detox
- Dietary imbalance or weight concerns
- Insomnia, hypersomnia, and related sleep disorders
- Other health challenges
The six-day Balancing the Body program is exclusively reserved for those who have completed the Healing the Heart workshop. After experiencing the profound emotional release process at Healing the Heart, you are ready to deepen your healing by nourishing your body and mind at Balancing the Body. Graduates of our Emotional Freedom program and Free to Love workshop are also eligible to attend Balancing the Body.
What happens at Healing the Heart?
At the Healing the Heart weekend workshop, Dr. Tim Brieske, Trista Thorp, and other loving members of the Chopra Center staff will guide you in a unique, proven five-step process to identify, mobilize, and release the painful memories and life-damaging beliefs that are at the root of many emotional and physical health problems.
The Healing the Heart process includes guided visualizations, journal writing, music and sound therapy, and exercises in conscious movement and body-centered awareness. If this is your first Chopra Center experience, you will also receive instruction in Primordial Sound Meditation,an ancient, easy-to-learn meditation practice that provides many tangible healing benefits.
Each day you also have the opportunity to nourish yourself with morning and evening group meditations, heart-opening yoga sessions, optional Ayurvedic meals, and time for personal reflection and integration. The Chopra Center's teachers and staff will be available to support you throughout your healing journey.
