Mary Callaghan is a Primordial Sound Meditation instructor based in Dublin, Ireland.
Mary Callaghan discovered the healing benefits of meditation after a car accident in 1998 left her unable to work for almost two years. She researched many different healing techniques and learned Primordial Sound Meditation, a practice she says was immensely helpful in her
Mary continued to meditate, and in 2002 went to Oxford, England, for Seduction of Spirit, the Chopra Center’s six-day meditation retreat led by Deepak Chopra and David Simon. During the retreat, she discovered a new purpose in life – sharing meditation with others. Later that year she completed her training as a Primordial Sound Meditation instructor, and she now teaches the technique to people from all walks of life.
“It is great to see so many people who want to learn to meditate,” she said. “Over 300 students have attended my courses over the past 5 years, and it was a joy and an honor to meet each one of them. I am continually surprised at how many ‘logical thinkers’ like accountants, engineers, doctors, and business people want to learn Primordial Sound Meditation!
“The Irish have a great love for Deepak Chopra,” Mary said, “and we are delighted that he and the Chopra Center are coming to Ireland this July to present Seduction of Spirit in Dublin.”
This is the first time Seduction of Spirit has been offered in Europe, and it is anticipated as one of the most transformational events of 2008. For six days, more than 1,000 people will come together to meditate for peace in their lives and peace in the world.
In addition to serving as a Primordial Sound Meditation instructor, Mary is part of the management team of the Alliance for a New Humanity, the non-profit organization founded by Deepak Chopra for personal and global transformation.
