Spirit isn’t something outside you, but is intertwined in everything you feel, think and do. Looking for spirit, the Vedic sages observed, is like a thirsty fish looking for water. Go beyond mental conditioning and find spirit Words of Wisdom“At times our own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from another person. Each of us has cause to think with deep gratitude of those who have lighted the flame within us.” “Every prophet and every saint hath a way, but it leads to God: All the ways are really one.” 2008 Brochure |

How We're StretchingIn the Vedic tradition, the energy center or chakra located at the crown of the head is known as Sahaswara. The ancient seers visualized this chakra as a thousand-petaled lotus flower. As the petals unfold, the memory of wholeness is restored, and you remember that you are a spiritual being, temporarily disguised as a person. This union of individuality and universality is the highest purpose of yoga. Open the energy flow in your crown chakra In-house Special for San DiegansVisit the Chopra Center in the month of December and receive 20% off à la carte spa services, Chopra Center signature products, and revitalizing yoga classes. Even better, simply by having an Ayurvedic massage treatment, purchasing something in our retail store, or joining us for yoga, you will be entered in our monthly drawing to win free admission to Journey into Healing this February at the beautiful La Costa Spa & Resort in Carlsbad. The word religion comes from the Latin religare, which means “to bind” or “to tie.” Similarly, the term ligature, meaning suture, also derives from this same Latin root. These derivations give us a clue to the original intention of religion, which is to reconnect the part to the whole. This is the essence of spirituality, and this is a good time to reflect upon it Chopra Center Calendar
