The Healing Atmosphere of Lake Lanier, Georgia
We’ve chosen the luxurious Emerald Pointe resort, nestled on the shores of Lake Lanier in the lush rolling hills of Georgia’s Blue Ridge Mountains. The Chopra Center has previously offered Seduction of Spirit and Renewal Weekend retreats at Emerald Pointe and received abundant glowing feedback from the attendees about the resort’s beauty and southern hospitality.
Lake Lanier is only a beautiful 45-minute drive from the Atlanta airport, but feels like a natural paradise. Each day you will experience rejuvenating yoga on the shores of Lake Lanier, meditate in the serenity of nature and feel invigorated by the fresh mountain air. Springtime in Georgia is idyllic, offering a gentle, comfortable climate and the rich blossoming of colorful flowers and majestic trees.
Emerald Pointe boasts first-class accommodations and a magnificent luxury spa. All of the guest rooms have spacious patios overlooking the sparkling lake – and views of the deer that come to graze on the resort grounds. The tranquil atmosphere will nourish your spirit and heart and take you to deep levels of rest and relaxation.
Join Deepak, David, and the Chopra center staff for an unforgettable Journey into Healing!
Guest Speakers
Jamieson Jones, MD
Over fifteen years ago during his neonatal fellowship Dr. Jones was working with HIV infected infants. At that time, neonatology and HIV care were on the frontier of medical science. The limitations of medical care challenged him to seek an expanded model of medicine, one where caregivers show up fully even when scientific medical advances fall short. Dr. Jones has since explored and experienced many complementary medical therapies, as well as expanded his understanding of the spiritual, cultural and ethical complexities associated with medicine. He has co-authored Enlightened Healer, Enlightened Healthcarewhich is pending a 2007 publication date. Dr. Jones currently works in neonatology, gives lectures, and writes on topics pertinent to healthcare providers.
