Kris Carr is a best-selling author, filmmaker and health advocate. She is the subject of the uplifting documentary, Crazy Sexy Cancer. The film, which she wrote and directed for TLC and the Oprah Winfrey Network, chronicles her adventure of living and thriving with stage-four cancer.

Her companion book series, Crazy Sexy Cancer Tips with a foreword by singer/songwriter Sheryl Crow, and Crazy Sexy Cancer Survivor (foreward by Marianne Willimason) have been translated into nine languages. These stigma smashing lifelines have been deemed “must have” guides to rebuilding the body and spirit in order to triumph over disease. Carr recounts her courageous story of survival and shares every step of her journey to wellness in a practical, funny and endearing style - even wearing her cowboy boots to her MRI screenings. In addition, Carr provides invaluable tips for choosing the right doctor, learning to live in a self-nurturing manner, rebuilding selfesteem, as well as how to fight cancer with your fork.

Carr’s third book, Crazy Sexy Diet (January 2011, foreward by Dean Ornish) takes the nutrition and lifestyle advice she learned on her journey and translates it into an optimum vitality game plan for wellness warriors seeking health and happiness.

Her newest book, Crazy Sexy Kitchen, will change the way you live, love and eat. Karr fills the book with inspiration, education, cooking tips, and over 150 nourishing, nosh-worthy recipes.

Formerly an actress, Carr has worked both on and off Broadway, in the regional theater, film, television and dozens of commercials.

Carr is on the advisory board of The Urban Zen Foundation, Donna Karan’s philanthropic global well-being program. She is also the Founder and Chief Visionary Officer of Crazy Sexy Wellness, LLC.
