“Making your doshas happy will make you happy. This is the secret to balancing the whole mind-body system.”
– Deepak Chopra
Your mind-body type (known as your dosha in the ancient healing science of Ayurveda) plays a great role in how stress affects you. In Ayurveda, the three main doshas are Vata, Pitta, and Kapha.
- Those with predominantly Vata constitutions have the greatest tendency toward anxiety and worry. Normally creative and lively, in the face of stress, Vatas tend to blame themselves for their problems and become extremely nervous and scattered.
- Pitta types are usually warm and loving, but if they’re out of balance, typically react to stress by finding fault with other people and becoming angry.
- The most even-tempered dosha is Kapha. Kapha types are usually easygoing and gentle, but when faced with overwhelming conflict or stress, they may withdraw and refuse to deal with the situation.
Knowing your mind-body constitution will help you understand your own response to stress. Ayurveda offers specific recommendations for each mind-body type, including the most effective ways to cope with stress. “Obstacle”
Life is an Obstacle sometimes you just know…
You can take a route that is suitable…
But it can take you to a place that’s inviting…
You never know it is one that can leave you puzzle…
That is why it is an Obstacle…
No matter which way or turn you go…
Know that You are not alone…
You will get there…
Thanks for the calender there are very inspirational pictures. Even when I am sad.

Meditation and being in the moment takes away all stress from my life. I used to be a hypochondriac. I got tired of suffering for no reason, so I changed. I let go of my Ego, and let my consciousness wake up. Life is magical now. If you want to comment go to my blog letgoofego.blogspot.com

I took the dosha analysis. Apparently I was tied and needed the tie breaker question. So now I am just 1 point difference between Vatta and Kapha yet I consider myself a warm and loving person (Vatta).
I am unemployed and struggling financially and can’t afford to just buy double things and see which works best. How can I get more advice on what to purchase. My mind is on overload with financial and relationship issues which I think then makes my body feel fatigued and stressed.
How do I use things that perk me up and things that calm me down at the same time even if I could afford to jump in and buy both? I have been trying many spiritual things in life but seem to be stuck. Any help would be greatly appreciated. At 59 yrs old starting over alone is overwhelming.

Sorry that warm and loving person was supposed to say Pitta.

My Dosha analysis shows I have very high Kasha and Vatta, (only 1 point difference with Kasha being higher), and almost no Pitta Dosha. My question is do I follow the Pitta Food guidelines to build more of this Dosha? I have been all over this website and other internet sites and while I understand the term “balancing”, does that mean if I follow the Kasha balancing food list I will raise Pitta or will I just increase my Kasha? I’m confused. Thanks
