Law of the Day: Wednesday

The Law of Least Effort

Nature’s intelligence functions with effortless ease . . . with carefreeness, harmony, and love. And when we harness the forces of harmony, joy, and love, we create success and good fortune with effortless ease.

I will put the Law of Least Effort into effect by making a commitment to take the following steps:The Law of Least Effort

1. I will practice Acceptance. Today I will accept people, situations, circumstances, and events as they occur. I will know that this moment is as it should be, because the whole universe is as it should be. I will not struggle against the whole universe by struggling against this moment. My acceptance is total and complete. I accept things as they are this moment, not as I wish they were.

2. Having accepted things as they are, I will take Responsibility for my situation and for all those events I see as problems. I know that taking responsibility means not blaming anyone or anything for my situation (and this includes myself). I also know that every problem is an opportunity in disguise, and this alertness to opportunities allows me to take this moment and transform it into a greater benefit.

3. Today my awareness will remain established in Defenselessness. I will relinquish the need to defend my point of view. I will feel no need to convince or persuade others to accept my point of view. I will remain open to all points of view and not be rigidly attached to any one of them.

  1. I love the daily postings-effortlessly flowing into our universal consciousness.

  2. I believe the healing of my body began when I intuitively integrated the 6th Spiritual Law of Success into my daily living. The Law of Detachment is powerful, and yet one of the hardest principles to integrate into your life. We have been conditioned to base our successes on our grades, our lab reports. Conditioned, we seek scientific proof that chemo, surgery, radiation, or the combination of those treatments result in a cure for cancer. I too had hoped for the healing of metastatic cancer by using both Western and Eastern modalities of healing with some great successes and extended life.

However, it wasn’t until I had detached myself from the outcome of treatment, that my body began to change. Now a Chopra Certified Yoga Instructor and soon to be Primordial Sound Instructor, I share that my health, my strength, my flexibility comes from weaving the 7 spiritual laws into my daily living. The most significant law of success for me has been the Law of Detachment. My friends, my doctors began to notice a softness, a new kind of health. People continue to ask me what is the one thing that I attribute to my cure and new found health. It isn’t just one thing; I can honestly say that I attribute my spontaneous remission to many modalities including my willingness, yet the infusion of the Law of Detachment is how I really, really found my way back to health. You too can heal your body, mind and reclaim your spirit. Having had 10 metastasis, with various iotrogenic diseases I will tell you it doesn’t have to take 20 years to heal your body. I am cancer free now 10 years.

  5. Deborah:
Thank you so much for sharing. It really is so hard to accept and follow the Law of Detachment and the Law of Least Effort when you have been conditioned to never give up, stay in control etc., etc.
I am learning these lessons now and it is not easy but its a matter of trusting in God that this is your jouney and to Let Go and Let God.
You give people so much hope that things can be different if they are suppose to be.
    Thank you again. Namaste

  6. I am humbled by the supportive comments from all you travelers on this path to freedom. It is a road that had been journeyed on by many others before me and in my newness; it is The Fifth Spiritual Law of Intention & Desire that has propelled me into the wonderful, supportive, kind and loving world of the Chopra Center of Well Being. Blessings to all of you, for prompting me to share my message of healing. It is my deepest intention to inspire and give hope to those who are also suffering. Let us not forget the pain that is felt by the caregivers, family and friends who have watched their loved ones struggle with their physical diagnosis of any form of illness. As a patient, I did not know the depth of the pain that my loved ones experienced while watching me as I struggled in my own apathy and physical pain. Those of you have witnessed
the demise of a loved one passing, or the suffering as a result of cancer are the true heroines.

I have been gifted the dis-ease of cancer, I have been transformed with a new appreciation for health. It is my deepest desire to share my story with healing in honor and with respect to those who have held the torch while my body, mind and spirit have been set free.

Upon completion of Journey Into Healing, my then 26 year old son (who I manifested after my original diagnosis) arrived at the Chopra Center so that we could travel together to Illinois for my mother’s 80th birthday. On our ride to the airport, he asked how JIH went. I had so proudly introduced him to all my Chopra friends as “my gift of life”. While alone, and back in the safety of his vehicle; Adam turned to me, and said to me, mom, I understand that by having me after your diagnosis with cancer; your life had more quality, meaning, and you become more settled, however; I cannot hide from you any more the pain that has been inflicted on me as I watched you all my life struggling with disease. He went on say that he did not intend to sound ungrateful, or to be mean, but he wanted me to know that each time I introduced him as “my gift of life”, he experienced a surge of pressure that he could not describe. At times it brought up the memory of his fears of isolation, and separation. There were times when he also experienced anger with me when I articulated this expression of his being “my gift of life” to others.
Without a beat, he acknowledged that he did not intend to hurt me, as he was happy that he was conceived, grateful for his life, yet in his eyes, he was not the gift of life; Cancer was the gift. These words of wisdom, transformed me to a deeper level of divine consciousness, as the witness and observer.

I am humbled, and grateful to have heard this from him, cancer is my gift, it has given me the opportunity to share love and unity consciousness. I am grateful to all of you who have taken the time to reach out to me and share your story’s, transcending fate into destiny. We are boundless, and infinite.

    Immortally yours,
