I am grateful for the love of my family and my friends, the ability to spend time with my daughter and beautiful grandchildren enjoying their journey — the baby’s first steps, the teenager’s first “love”; I am also grateful for the opportunities to be helpful to others, whether professionally or personally, listening to them when they feel down or having a hard time, and sometimes being able to give them helpful advice, or referring them to services available in the community to meet their needs; I am grateful for the gift of life, the ability to enjoy the beauty of nature, and the blessing of living in a free and democratic country. I am grateful for many more things which I am not listing here, as I want this comment to be brief.

Chopra…how come you never come visit Toronto? Lots of fans here.
The Chopra Center on November 12, 2009 at 12:44 pm
Hi Irish Gal,
Thanks for your question. As you write, there are many members of the extended Chopra Center family living in Toronto. The Chopra Center has been offering events there on a fairly regularly basis. Most recently, Deepak Chopra and David Simon led a weekend workshop in Toronto in July. In May we will be returning to Toronto with the Journey into Healing workshop – our mind-body medicine featuring Drs. Chopra & Simon as well as other renowned guest experts. We hope to get to see you there!

I am grateful that I have learned how to be happy no matter what is happening in my life. Several years ago, I went to a workshop and learned how simple it is to focus on what works and what is good. I used to think that one had to grow up in a perfect and happy family to have this sort of balance. And all the time, there it was right in front of me. I am so grateful for this.

I am grateful for this very moment. My hot cup of tea, my warm sweater and frost on the ground promising that snow, and a change of season, is coming soon.

I recently was guided by the Universe to move to Maui for the healing this wonderful place can provide for me. I’m so grateful to be aware that the Universe “knows” whats best for me and the fact that I can really “get” the blessings in all that has come up for me. The Universe even guided me to the perfect apartment for me, high up in the trees, where the energy is even MORE healing, I just moved in, as I had my morning coffee on the deck, I just marvel at the “grace” of GOD in setting this very special place up for my healing and enlightenment. Now I will slow down and get to know MYSELF. I let go and let GOD and know that all will be well.

When I wake up at 4:30 to head to the gym each morning, I raise my head to the sky and I am speechless. I am in total awe of the beauty of the stars above me. This simple habit reminds me that we are surrounded by unconditional love and acceptance.

I’m grateful today, among many other reasons, because after years of asking who I am, I finally understood that I’m a vibration. A vibration that receive other vibrations and take me to a place where I can see all the posibilities. Therefore, I can create my own life. I’m grateful because today I became a creator.

I am grateful for knowing the wonderful women in our troupe of dancers, the Egyptian Moon Dance Company.
Their spirit of giving has no bounds.
I am grateful to have the privilege of sharing the love of dance, and the time to enjoy it, with them.

I am grateful for the ability to attend the party happening each day. I love that I can show up as the light within and leave what bothers me behind. I appreciate that awareness is more powerful than thought and peace resides in every moment. I wake each day with an enthusiasm for what this day had in store. For being, I am grateful.

Grateful for another day to love my best friend, my soul mate, my lover.
Grateful for the widening of eyes and opening of hearts by all touched by cancer.
Grateful that youth can be resilient and hopeful even in the light of candles burning out.
Grateful that God has spoken in the ears of my children and on their hearts – especially as sadness burdens their every breath.
Grateful for family and friends and community that have come together like the weave of a wheat grass basket.
Grateful that I can still believe in miracles.

I am so grateful for having learned the LOA and for reading Chopra’s 7 Spiritual Laws of Success.
I am grateful that worry is gone. I am grateful that illness is gone. I am grateful that debt is gone. I am grateful for joyful living and “magical” things happening most every day. I am grateful for my husband and family that love me and make me laugh. I am grateful that I am well enough to dance like nobody’s watching and that I am filled with so much light, and love, and compassion that my sale’s calls have a very high return. I am grateful for being paid what I deserve. I am grateful for having the energy to participate in deeper and more meaningful relationships. I am grateful for touching people’s lives and hearts. I am grateful for being granted favor. I am grateful for being granted respect and kindness and safety and love. I am grateful for the energy for vacations and more fun-filled ventures.
I am grateful that Chopra’s 7 Spiritual Laws of Success have completely and forever changed my life to ALL GOOD THINGS coming to me now–now and forever.
And I am grateful for all of these posts.

Dear Dr. Chopra,
I am so grateful for being lifted out of depression. I call this the Year of Magical Thinking. I’m 73 and have been holding onto too many dreams that haven’t come true. . . like winning an Oscar or Tony. And in despair because no one will ever hear my music. But this summer I had a magical (night) dream about a diet eating Morning Glories. I designed my own Aryuvedic diet, then got one of your books from the library . . . and your message, “about being open to all possibilities” seem to be part of a convergence that has helped me maintain my diet, and I have photographed my garden and uploaded my music and learned to put it on YouTube!! Who knew! Yes. It feels like miracles can happen. I don’t need a Tony, etc., just knowing my music is out there is enough. http://www.youtube.com/janamedrova in case anyone would care to listen.

I make a declaration each year for my company. I was deciding what to declare for 2010 and then I received the Chopra.com gratitude quiz.
My declaration for 2010 is The Year of Gratitude. I personally focus on things for which I am grateful and I want to have our employees consider the same focus. It will clearly improve our company culture.
I was recently certified as a Primordial Sound Meditation instructor and have taught about 15 of our 50 something employees.
I am grateful for the people at the Chopra center, and of course the co-founder Deepak Chopra. I am grateful that Deepak talks about how science and Vedic traditions speak of the same concepts with different words. This connection between science and spirituality has been one of my passions for years.
I am grateful for The Alliance for the New Humanity and all of the participating people and organizations who work to expand the global consciousness.

My 3 beautiful grandchildren.. They give my heart wings!! I could not imagine loving something so complete so unconditionally until they came into my life one by one. They stretched my heart and blew my mind! They are as important to me as the air I breathe and I could not imagine life without them!

I am deeply grateful for being alive; for being able to sense parts of the beauty of this planet, the grandeur of this universe, the intricacy of it’s structure. I am grateful for being human and for being part of the story we create. I am grateful for the tiny bits of wisdom that I find in places such as this one. I am grateful for loving and being loved, for laughter, for oportunities to create, for language, for passion, for curiosity, for endless mystery.

I’m grateful for the knitting cirlce that I co-founded with two wonderful friends that I met serendipitously (at the yarn store) in January this year. Between us, we’ve taught several people how to knit and crochet. It’s such a delight and a privilege to see someone develop their creativity, and to learn from each other as we work on our various projects. The yarn store only buys ethically sourced yarns, which adds an extra element of delight to our hobby.
I’m also grateful for my lovely colleagues; my beautiful husband; our exciting dreams and plans; good health; for having opportunities that many people will never have; for simple pleasures like cups of tea with biscuits, good books, the internet, quiet days at home; and our small but precious band of good friends.
I’m grateful that it’s almost Christmas time, and that the dark winter days will soon be filled with the glow of fairy lights and candles, sparkling baubels and tinsel, and the scent of Christmas spices.
I’ve also enjoyed reading all these posts, especially Deb Roberts’ moving poem.

On this Thanksgiving, I am grateful for being alive and blessed to walk my path with Spirit each and every day. I continue to learn lessons on my walk that enhance my life and give me positive energy. How awesome that is for me. I also am grateful for the Chopra Center website, and for Deepak Chopra, my mentor and a person who inspired me by reading his awesome books and learning all about my “higher self”. That all happened about 10 years ago, and my life has never been the same since then. In fact, I am the happiest, most peaceful and positive person that I ever have been and the possibilities just keep getting better! I continue to practice being my authentic self, living in the moment, and nurturing my body/mind/soul. If there were one message I could pass on to others it would be to “be your authentic self, speak your own truth, and reach out to those who are in need.” Helping and serving others will not only benefit the “other”, but will also give to you a spiritual empowerment that will never end. We all are one with the Universe and all creatures. I look in awe at every human person, creature, bird, flower, plant, tree, insect, animal and mammal and realize how unique ALL were created. My prayer would be that the whole wide world would become “conscious”, and an “awakening” of EVERY Spirit would catch fire so that we all could live in the Spirit of Universal Love and Life! The world needs love, not hate! We came from LOVE, and we will return to LOVE! I wish each and every person a very blessed Thanksgiving. Gratitude! ah—yes!! AHMMMMMMMM

Gratful that the grass is green and the tears in my eyes are salty.
That painful moments are just as right as hopeful ones
Grateful that I learnt the truth from a man who is in prison. He told me “the only truth in life is being honest with yourself.”
I am grateful being able to be grateful and being able to give and in doing so to receive love.
Let the rain of blessings fall to everyone

I am grateful for my parents. Thanks to them I am able to live in a city which makes me happy just to walk along the street. Because of them I was able to buy a beautiful little flat that I love and adore and that makes me feel safe. I am grateful and thankful because I was blessed with such amazing parents that have made all my happiness possible.

I am grateful to my parents for all their love and caring of my 6 brothers and 4 sisters. For guiding us and teaching us about beauty and goodness by their lives. For giving us a love of Nature and teaching us to be loving and considerate of all people. For surrounding us with a menagerie of pets, lambs, ducks, homing pidgeons, cats, fish and a dog that they taught us how to love and care for. For teaching us how healing listening can be. For our beautiful home with front and back gardens filled beautiful plants and trees. I will always remember my father showing me a golden peace rose and asking me what shape I thought a star was. And I am grateful to my loving grandparents who showered us with love and gifts and always had Lifesavers in their pockets, and especially grandpa Canestra who used to play the accordian, and call us on the phone at 5:30 in the morning telling us to get up and asking us to come and pick the almonds and peaches growing in the garden. Also my aunt and uncle who were my parents’ brother and sister, for all the fun times singing around the piano and playing musical chairs and London bridge, etc. So much to be grateful for……
Mary Angela on November 17, 2009 at 4:34 pm
I’m also grateful to my father who wrote in my autograph book when I was a child: “Seek ye first the kindgom of God, and all else will be yours.” This is what has always guided me along the way, and led me to the writings and work of Deepak Chopra……. thank you all…

I never thought I would say this; however, I am most grateful for the gift of cancer. As frightening as it sounds, and as overwhelming it has been in the past, and sometimes in the present moment, cancer have given me an opportunity to reflect on that which is really, really important to me.
Through cancer, I learned how to prepare for death, this awareness has enhanced the quality of my life, with deep appreciation for each and every
breath that I breathe. I see the world through a different set of eyes, I no longer suffer from fear, or am crippled by guilt, shame, despair or anxiety.
No longer afraid of the diagnosis, or the prognosis, I am grateful for cancer for affording me time to just be me. I am grateful for the experience of cancer, for my life is richer, textured with knowledge, empathy, understanding, unbounded love of life, I am fearless and free, my spirit soars hoping never to return to the chains of this vessel we call a body.

I am grateful for so many things. Among the stress and grief of the last year, I have what most would call a charmed life. I do what I love and love what I do, I have the support of loved ones, my work helps so many and they share their gratitude for same with me frequently. My most recent item to be grateful for is the book by Dr. Chopra…”Spontaneous Fulfillment of Desire” What a gem…
I am looking forward to the workshop in March @ Marco Island, FL.

I am grateful to the Divine for nothing and for everything.
Nature is duty-bound to bless me and all of us with Its graciousness.I am just aware of all that has been bestowed on me for my up-keep in every sense of the word.My gratefulness cannot be captured in words as its magnitude is enormous.
On the worldly plane,i am thankful to my teachers including Dr.Deepak Chopra whom i had the good fortune to meet in Delhi a few years back and felt overwhelmed by the grace of God on him.His simplicity, despite being an icon really seeped deep in my very being.

I am grateful to have positive messages such as this one arrive in my inbox. As I wasn’t taught how to take care of my whole self growing up, so seeking out these little bits of light have enabled me to push forward in my search for peace and balance.
I am grateful for the wonderful energy that is radiating from all that Chopra has manifested, I am grateful to add to and draw from it. I can only imagine what would shift in my life were I to attend a workshop…

Needless to say I am grateful to my parents for bringing me into this world, and I owe it to them for what I am today – the person that I have become (the set of values they have passed on to me). There are a million more things I am grateful for – but one of them worth mentioning is the time when I decided to return back to India (I am settled in The Netherlands) and my brother stopped me from doing it. (I wish I could tell him this – due to some misunderstandings we are not in talking terms). Every small thing counts. Like for instance, the coat that I am wearing today makes me feel wonderful (courtesy my sister-in-law).

I am thankful that I can live more in the present, trusting that everything that comes into my life is Divine and is there in order to support my soul in the journey towards growth.
Every day I ask myself these three magical questions:
How can I grow today?
How can I give and love today?
How can I nourish great relationships today?
When I bear those questions in mind through the day and let them guide my life, I will feel happy, at ease and love in my big heart.
