Ayurvedic medicine defines health as much more than the absence of illness ― it is a dynamic and balanced integration between the physical body, mind, and spirit. Vibrant health is a higher state of consciousness in which we open ourselves to expanded levels of creativity, joy, and well-being. Feelings of isolation melt away and we know we are inextricably connected to an underlying field of intelligence.
Put briefly, health is wholeness. In fact, the word health derives from an Anglo Saxon root that means “wholeness” and from which we also get the words holy and hale. When the remembrance of our wholeness is lost, disease begins. The flow of energy and information in our mind-body system has been disrupted, creating a sense of separation or alienation from the field of intelligence.
In order to heal, we need to restore the memory of wholeness. This restoration must take place physically, emotionally, intellectually, and spiritually. A fragmented approach cannot ultimately be complete or successful. True healing requires a holistic understanding that embraces all aspects of our selves. For this reason, all of the Chopra Center’s programs and workshops encompass the transformation of the mind, body, and spirit. Every event also includes instruction in Primordial Sound Meditation. To make it easier for you to choose the program that will best serve your current needs and desires, we have divided our events into four main areas:
When you call the Chopra Center, a Program Consultant will answer all your questions, help you clarify what you are seeking to heal or change in your life, and guide you in choosing the ideal program or workshop for you.
